ROCK African-American Ministry

Rebuilding our Christian Kingdom (The ROCK) aims to strengthen the faith of young adults between the ages of 18-35 in the areas of spirituality, fellowship, service, culture, leadership and evangelization within the Black Catholic community of the Archdiocese of New Orleans.

Goals and Objectives

Spirituality
To provide activities and opportunities to strengthen young adults’ relationship with God.

Fellowship
To connect young adults in an environment that nurtures the Catholic Faith.

Service
To provide opportunities for community outreach that will encourage young adults to take an active role in the Archdiocese of New Orleans.

Culture
To provide activities to help young adults understand who we are and whose we are.

Leadership
To be present at youth activities and provide guidance as role models for the next generation of young Catholics.

Evangelization
To reach out to other young adults regardless of faith or race who are seeking spiritual guidance through the teachings of Jesus Christ.
